Becoming Chartreuse was originally painted in September 2026 in acrylic on canvas (24 x 36 inches).

Becoming Chartreuse is about moving forward while still carrying the people and pieces of ourselves that came before. Inspired by someone close to me entering a new chapter of her life, the painting explores growth, change, and the quiet process of becoming.

Chartreuse - her favorite color - became a symbol of that transformation. The two lark buntings represent her children, still close but beginning to find wings of their own. Her elongated neck and outward gaze suggest movement toward what comes next, while the butterfly-shaped garment serves as a symbol of metamorphosis—not becoming someone entirely different, but emerging into a newer version of herself.

This limited edition print captures the bold color, layered symbolism, and expressive character of the original painting.
